Applications: High Content Screening

High Content Screening (HCS) differs from traditional High Throughput Cell based screening in that not only is the intensity of a cellular response measured, but spatial, and even temporal information about the behavior of cells can be measured. HCS typically uses some type of imaging technology to allow for measurement of cellular and even subcellular phenomena coupled with a sophisticated data analysis package to interpret the results of an HCS assay.

At HighRes, we have worked with a variety of institutions to automate virtually every step of the processes required to maintain, prepare, and assay cells with HCS technology. From simpler systems designed to transfer assay plates from a liquid handler to an HCS reader all the way up to fully integrated systems capable of culturing, maintaining, incubating and preparing cells for HCS, HighRes has designed and implemented systems for a wide variety of laboratories with varied throughput requirements and automation expertise.
