Compound Management

Pharmaceutical companies and drug discovery processes require different chemicals for various assays. The chemicals are stored and accessed through compound management systems becoming the most common type of infrastructure and logistic process. Using automated robotic systems, samples and libraries can be stored, retrieved, sorted for various applications, and can undergo quality control checks. These storage banks are a necessity for the drug discovery process

A flexible, high throughput sample replication platform. The CoLAB™ arm is used in this case for ease of interaction and to provide operators direct access to equipment on the system with guarding. HighRes® MicroDocks are utilized at the storage position and other expensive, critical, fault prone positions. This ensures that the platform will always have the critical devices it needs to maintain its required output.

The system utilizes a dry environmental chamber [HighRes Biosolutions® TundraStore] for storage of sealed source plates. A HighRes Biosolutions MicroServe is used for high-density, non-random access destination plate input and output. There are a redundant array of standard pre- and post-transfer devices for the critical steps in plate based sample replication. There are sealers, peelers, bulk dispensers for worklist driven solvent front or backfilling, and HighRes MicroSpins for centrifugation. The system utilizes a pair or acoustic drop pipettors [Labcyte Echos] for low volume sample transfers. The devices are dockable to ensure that a device failure of a critical resource can be easily resolved by swapping in a replacement.

A flexible, high throughput sample replication platform. The CoLAB arms are used in this case for ease of interaction and to provide operators direct access to equipment on the system with guarding. HighRes MicroDocks are utilized at the storage positions and pipettor positions. This allows sample flow to happen on stacker or storage unit basis provided a seamless labware delivery experience with upstream and downstream systems. The pipettor positions are dockable to ensure that an operator can swap in or out a critical resource and to support variable transfer modes. In some instances, different devices may be suggested for replication, for instance an acoustic pipettor. This system can handle a wide array of replication types given the versatile liquid handling platforms and MicroDocks in those positions.

The system utilizes ambient carousels[HighRes Biosolutions AmbiStores and Prime’s Storage carousel] for storage of sealed source plates, tube racks and tip racks. There are a redundant array of standard pre- and post-transfer devices for the critical steps in plate based sample replication. There are sealers, peelers, cappers/de-cappers, bulk dispensers for worklist driven solvent front or backfilling, and HighRes MicroSpins for centrifugation. The system utilizes a pair of pipettors [HighRes Prime™] for high throughput, continuous flow sample transfer. The devices are dockable to ensure uptime and cycling of devices across platforms.
