HighRes Biosolutions, the leader in laboratory automation solutions for life science, announced today that industry veteran Andy Zaayenga has been hired as Director of Business Development. Andy’s appointment accompanies a period of consistent expansion for HighRes, including new offerings in sample management and increasing focus in biospecimen science.
Andy joins HighRes Biosolutions with more than 20 years in life science automation, with previous senior management positions at SmarterLab, Tecan REMP, TekCel (Hamilton Storage Technologies), and Zymark (Caliper Life Sciences). He is an active contributor in several professional associations, including the Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (LRIG), Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS), International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER), Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA), and Public Population Project in Genomics (P³G). Andy is a section editor for the Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening.
“What impressed us about Andy was his customer focus and grasp of the life science market,” said HighRes Biosolutions CEO Lou Guarracina. “He has achieved an impressive track record with his clients through multiple companies by delivering on his commitments and maintaining superior relationships. Andy’s addition to an already powerful team at HighRes positions us to increase our growth and expand into new markets.”
