Automated Conveyor Systems
HighRes automated conveyor systems transport samples between large work cells efficiently and reliably, even across different floors. Ensure seamless workflow integration and prevent sample mishandling during transport.
Essential Overview
Create Sample Superhighways
Our automated conveyor systems gently and effectively manage sample transport in extensive automated workflows that involve multiple work cells. Each sample vessel is delivered exactly where and when it is expected. Your team can focus on high-value tasks and planning next steps by doing so.
Unimpeded Throughput
Using our automated conveyor system, microplates or other ANSI/SLAS compliant labware are rapidly yet gently shuttled between dedicated robotic work cells or other laboratory robots yet remain out of reach to protect against accidental contact.
Enduring Productivity
A modular design provides for seamless integration into just about any system and can be expanded at any time as your needs evolve. At the same time, closed loop positioning and ID tracking aid in audit trail documentation.
Effortless Management
Power our automated conveyor system through Cellario whole lab workflow automation software. In addition to smooth workflow scheduling and walkaway convenience, full Cellario control ensures that all devices in your network are optimally configured and managed.
White Glove Treatment
HighRes lab automation experts and authorized technicians devote great attention to the service and maintenance of your impeccable HighRes products. By doing so, you can be sure that your vital automated workflow progresses with little to no downtime.
Features
High Sample Capacity
Each linear meter of elevated rail in our automated conveyor system offers capacity of up to 9 pucks (plate positions) in motion, or up to 12 pucks in a queue.
Critical Time Savings
Samples are conveyed along the elevated rails using electromagnetic force. This transportation method increases sample transit and overall processing speeds compared to clunky mechanical or manual methods.

Savings Add Up
By its nature, electromagnetic technology uses fewer moving parts compared to mechanical transport systems. This reduces maintenance and repair frequency to save valuable time and money.

FAQs
Yes! All rail and mount designs are custom configured to match your lab layout including system locations. The rail sizes are selected to be optimized to develop a full system built around the lab layout and throughput requirements with the number of transport vehicles selected based upon throughput needs.
Throughput is variable because it is based upon the throughput of the system and the labware type and fill level. The maximum speed of the transport vehicles will be set to ensure that samples do not spill, given the labware type and expected fill level used in your workflow. Maximum speed is 2 m/s, with a standard speed of 1.5m/s for 384w labware and 1.8 m/s for 1536w labware. Taller labware requires slower speeds to prevent tipping. Exact throughput is calculated during the applications phase of the pre-sale process.
The need for service is generally very low. All HighRes systems are designed with serviceability in mind, and system guarding is designed to be quickly removed using common tools. Transport vehicles are moved to “rest areas” for easy access. Additionally, all electronics are easily accessed through standard mounted electrical cabinets.
