FAQs

What is the maximum capacity of MicroSpin? add remove

MicroSpin can centrifuge up to two plates or racks at once.

What is the maximum height of labware that can be accommodated? add remove

MicroSpin can accommodate consumable vessels up to 65 mm high in an ANSI/SLAS compliant footprint.

Are the speed settings of MicroSpin set to RPM or x g? add remove

MicroSpin may be configured using either revolutions per minute (RPM) or times gravity (x g or G). Use the following equations to convert between RPM and x g:

G = 1.12 x R x (RPM/1000)^2, where R ~ 119.78mm

RPM = sqrt(G/(1.12xR)) x 1000, where R ~ 119.78mm

What is the maximum speed of MicroSpin? add remove

The maximum speed of MicroSpin is 3000 x g (4729 RPM).

Does MicroSpin offer interchangeable rotors? add remove

No. The MicroSpin rotor is permanently attached and not interchangeable with any other rotor type.
