Automated Centrifuge
The MicroSpin laboratory centrifuge is a welcome addition to workflows based on Nucleus automation infrastructure work cells, Prime automated liquid handlers, and more.
Essential Overview
Adaptive Accommodations
Consumables such as microplates, deep-well plates, stacked plates, filtration assemblies, and even racked tubes and vials are ideal for use in the MicroSpin laboratory centrifuge. Up to 2 plates or racks with a 65 mm (about 2.56 in) maximum vessel height may be centrifuged at a time.
Flexibility Your Way
The MicroSpin laboratory centrifuge adapts to the changing needs of your workflow, whether it is integrated into a larger automated system or used as a standalone device.
Hardware Compatibility
MicroSpin is FlexCart compatible for convenient Nucleus automation infrastructure integration. It also works with our Prime automated liquid handler and third-party automation systems.
Effortless Management
Power MicroSpin through Cellario whole lab workflow automation software. In addition to smooth workflow scheduling and walkaway convenience, Cellario ensures that all devices in your network are optimally configured and managed.
White Glove Treatment
HighRes lab automation experts and authorized technicians devote great attention to the service and maintenance of your impeccable HighRes products. By doing so, you can be sure that your vital automated workflow progresses with little to no downtime.
Features
Balanced from Within
Significant imbalance tolerance of up to 75 grams means that you can successfully centrifuge one or two microplates/racks or tubes with different capacities. No more worrying about compromised performance or device damage.
All-Encompassing Access
A patented easy-access door design facilitates direct robotic plate loading from the top or side of the plate nest. This innovative design is ideal for use with SCARA or articulated robots, top load arms, and any other robot design.

FAQs
MicroSpin can centrifuge up to two plates or racks at once.
MicroSpin can accommodate consumable vessels up to 65 mm high in an ANSI/SLAS compliant footprint.
MicroSpin may be configured using either revolutions per minute (RPM) or times gravity (x g or G). Use the following equations to convert between RPM and x g:
G = 1.12 x R x (RPM/1000)^2, where R ~ 119.78mm
RPM = sqrt(G/(1.12xR)) x 1000, where R ~ 119.78mm
The maximum speed of MicroSpin is 3000 x g (4729 RPM).
No. The MicroSpin rotor is permanently attached and not interchangeable with any other rotor type.
