Screening Application Ready Work Cell
Each ELEMENTS Screening Work Cell system is built around our uniquely mobile Nucleus FlexCart. Convenience extends to pre-configured devices and editable templates or user-scripted protocols for high throughput automation and optimized cell-based screening.
Essential Overview
Vertically Integrate Devices
Our FlexCart empowers vertical integration of multiple screening workflow devices in the overall work cell, enhancing high throughput automation efficiency. Each device is accessible by the mounted ACell collaborative robotic arm to save space in any laboratory.
Flexibility Your Way
ELEMENTS Screening includes a carefully curated blend of devices from HighRes and industry-renowned manufacturers. Have a preferred device or brand? The system is designed to accommodate a range of alternate device choices that will function optimally in context of your automated workflows.
Simple Modularity
ELEMENTS Screening can change as quickly as your biochemical and cell-based screening workflow needs evolve. At the same time, devices may be rapidly and easily added or removed from the work cell.
Effortless Management
Power ELEMENTS Screening through Cellario whole lab workflow automation software. In addition to smooth workflow scheduling and walkaway convenience, full Cellario control ensures that all devices in your network are optimally configured and managed.
White Glove Treatment
HighRes lab automation experts and authorized technicians devote great attention to the service and maintenance of your impeccable HighRes products. By doing so, you can be sure that your vital automated workflow progresses with little to no downtime.
Features
Device and Workflow Customization
In addition to using your preferred high throughput screening-related devices, ELEMENTS Screening protocols and operating conditions are parameterized for easy user workflow customization.
Wide-Ranging and Mobile Utility
ELEMENTS Screening is outfitted to suit a wide range of high throughput screening workflows while taking up a very small lab footprint. On top of this, FlexCart uses smooth glide wheels for easy maneuvering to extend functionality in other lab or facility areas.
Integrated or Standalone Operation
Devices in the ELEMENTS Screening work cell may be quickly moved offline for manual use and maintenance without disturbing the overall automated workflow.

ELEMENTS Screening Protocol Design Information
CellarioScheduler Software
CellarioScheduler dynamically schedules, implements, and organizes devices and software across a lab or lab network while structuring sample utilization.
Template Protocols
Users are provided with three cell-based screening-specific template protocols for 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plates:
- Cell Titer-Glo protocol: as written, completes 40 plates in approximately 8 hours with uniform processing
- IP-1 Gq protocol: as written, completes 80 assay-ready plates or 30 plates with sample transfers in approximately 8 hours with uniform processing
- Transcreener protocol: as written, completes 30 plates in approximately 8 hours with uniform processing
Protocol Changes
Users can design new protocols by modifying the existing template protocol or designing a protocol from scratch. Choose from a wide variety of 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plate options and add new labware definitions as desired.
3rd Party Integration - We most value smooth functioning integration
“Our challenge is that we very seldom run the same thing twice, and our screens are rather small. Because of this, we appreciate the flexibility, ease-of-use, and modularity of our HighRes automated system. Flexible integration of third-party devices is most valuable to us. The initial system setup using our old devices seemed very tricky, but the HighRes experts made it look easy!”
Innovation that drives productivity
“As the first lab in France to work with Prime, we were attracted to the liquid handler's compact vertical design, integrated labware management carousel, and ease of use with other devices. HighRes Biosolutions was a reliable and effective partner, enabling us to develop the Galapagos Compound Management Lab and our related screening programs significantly.”
Solid, flexible automation
“HighRes excels in their flexibility and ability to integrate new devices, timely support, and the functionality of their Cellario software. We have been operating HighRes lab automation equipment for over 10 years, and they are still operational and well maintained. Our flexible system design with interchangeable MicroCarts is essential to our core facility, enabling optimal system setup for each screening project.”
