FAQs
PlateWeigh uses gravimetric analysis to determine the accuracy and precision of an automated liquid handler’s dispensing performance.
PlateWeigh can accommodate virtually any ANSI/SLAS compliant microplate.
Of course! PlateWeigh may be used for automated weighing of anything up to 520 g. It offers accuracy to
1.0 µg.
Yes. For optimal performance, labware, contents, and the highly sensitive PlateWeigh weigh cell should be the same temperature to avoid errors from air buoyancy and fluctuations resulting from convection currents across the labware’s surface. Also, avoid temperature transfer from hands to labware.
Yes. If electrostatic buildup is present, the measurement may fluctuate constantly. If this occurs, use ionization to neutralize the labware surface charge before placing the labware into the PlateWeigh.
Yes. Magnetic samples may interact with the PlateWeigh weigh cell to distort measurements. To minimize this interaction, increase the distance between the labware containing magnetic material and weigh cell through use of a nonmagnetic material.
